Born on Sept. 21, 1991 in Riviera Beach, Fla., Baltimore Ravens Strong Safety Matt Elam  played high school football at William T. Dwyer High School. As a senior in 2009, Elam was named the Gatorade High School Football Player of the Year. He enrolled at the University of Florida in 2010, where he played in every game during his three seasons. Elam totaled 176 tackles, five sacks, 23.5 TFL and six interceptions while at Florida. He earned first-team All-American honors and first-team All-SEC honors for his play during his junior season in 2012. He entered the 2013 NFL Draft and was selected in the first round (32nd overall) by the Baltimore Ravens. Matt Elam is the brother of The Elam Model founder, Abram Elam.
